Salem History

Salem was founded in 1806 by two men, Zadok Street from New Jersey, and John Straughan from Pennsylvania. At that time, over 200 years ago, there were approxiamately 100 people in Salem and now there are over 12,000 of us. The name Salem was taken from "Jerusalem", which means "city of peace".
