BEING AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF INTERMITTENT PART-TIME CLERICAL CLERK, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALEM, STATE OF OHIO:
SECTION 1:
There is hereby created one part-time position of Intermittent Clerical Clerk, not to exceed 36 hours per week on an-as-needed basis. The Mayor shall be the appointing authority.
SECTION 2
The Clerical Clerk shall have those powers, duties, and functions as set out in the Job Description attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein as if fully rewritten.
SECTION 3:
This Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in those formal actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with the law.
SECTION 4:
That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety in the City of Salem, and shall go into immediate effect for the reason that it is immediately necessary to establish the position of Clerical Clerk to supplement clerical needs in City Hall.
