BEING A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE RETAINING COLIN R. BEICHLER OF FIRE TRUCK SPECIALISTS INC., KENT, OHIO, AS A CONSULTANT FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR ONE (1) FIRE TRUCK FOR THE CITY OF SALEM FIRE DEPARTMENT.
The Council of the City of Salem, Columbiana County, Ohio, met in regular session on the 4th day of April, 2000, at the City Hall, Salem, Ohio.
Mr. Oesch moved the adoption of the following Resolution:
WHEREAS, the City of Salem Fire Department has a need to update the fire equipment and vehicles currently maintained by the City of Salem in their motor pool.
WHEREAS, Colin R. Beichler of Fire Trucks Specialists, Inc. has and does act in the capacity as consultant for the development and updating of fire departments and their equipment including preparation of bid specification for fire truck and fire truck equipment.
WHEREAS, and in the event that any such bids specifications result in purchase or lease of one or more fire trucks, it is the City’s understanding that Colin R. Beichler will follow and review the process of such truck from the manufacturing stage through delivery to the City of Salem to assure proper conformity to the specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Salem, Ohio that:
(1) Colin R. Beichler of Fire Truck Specialists, Inc. of Kent, Ohio is hereby retained as a consultant for the drafting and preparation of bid specifications for one (1) fire pumper fire truck.
(2) Colin R. Beichler shall be compensated in the amount of $1,000.00 for the bid specifications that he completes with such compensation also covering the cost of any specification conformity work that Mr. Beichler performs in the event that any truck is purchased pursuant to his specifications.
