BEING AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A TRANSFER AND APPROPRIATION AS SET FORTH BELOW AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALEM, STATE OF OHIO:

SECTION 1:

That the sum of $2,000.00 be, and hereby is transferred and appropriated within the General Fund as follows:

$2,000.00 from Council Contingency, #110-7720-5-4220 to Donations, 110-7728-5-7421

SECTION 2:

That the sum of $56,261.00 be, and hereby appropriated within the General Fund as follows:

$29,261.00 to Police Department vehicles, #110-7110-5-5410;

$12,000.00 to Law Director legal services and litigation, #110-7716-5-311;

$5,000.00 Transfer to Parks Fund, #110-7728-5-7120;

$10,000.00 Transfer to Shade Tree Fund, #110-7728-5-7126

SECTION 3:

That the sum of $400,000.00 be, and hereby is appropriated within the Capital Projects Fund-Water Distribution as follows:

$400,000.00 to construction project, #705-7525-5-5510

SECTION 4:

That the sum of $862,000.00 be, and hereby appropriated within the Water Revenue Fund as follows:

$862,000.00 to water surplus, #701-7530-5-7127

SECTION 5:

That the sum of $1,406,000.00 be, and hereby appropriated within the Waste Water Revenue Fund as follows:

$1,406,000.00 to waste water surplus, #702-7545-4-7127

SECTION 6:

This Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this ordinance or resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in those formal actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with the law.

SECTION 7:

That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety in the City of Salem, and shall go into immediate effect for the reason that the transfer and/or appropriation of said funds are immediately necessary for current expenses.
